Meet the Team Behind the Mishawaka Iron Bulls

Building More Than Football in Mishawaka

Mishawaka, IN — As excitement continues to build toward the inaugural 2027 season, the Mishawaka Iron Bulls Football Club is quickly becoming one of the most talked-about developmental football organizations in the Midwest. But while fans are beginning to learn about the players, coaching staff, and growing roster, the foundation of the Iron Bulls is being built every day behind the scenes by a passionate leadership group committed to creating something farStaf greater than football alone.

From front office leadership and community outreach to business development, media relations, and organizational planning, the Iron Bulls continue laying the groundwork for what they believe will become a first-class football organization focused on professionalism, community impact, and long-term sustainability.

At the center of the organization is President & CEO J.R. Robinson, whose vision for the Iron Bulls began with a simple goal: bring a professional, community-first football organization to Mishawaka that the city could truly rally behind.

“This organization has always been about more than just wins and losses,” Robinson said. “We want to create opportunities for athletes, provide family-friendly entertainment for our community, build strong local partnerships, and establish an organization Mishawaka can be proud to call its own.”

Under Robinson’s leadership, the Iron Bulls have already secured major partnerships, expanded organizational infrastructure, developed community outreach initiatives, and continued building a roster filled with talent from across the country and overseas professional football leagues.

One of the key individuals helping shape the public image and media presence of the organization is Director of Public Relations Jen Brugh. With an extensive background in journalism, communications, and professional sports media, Brugh has played a major role in helping the Iron Bulls establish a professional brand identity ahead of their inaugural season.

Her experience covering high-profile sporting events including the Super Bowl, Final Four, Big Ten Football Championship, and professional sports organizations has brought immediate credibility and professionalism to the Iron Bulls media operations.

“Jen has helped elevate our organization tremendously,” Robinson said. “Her experience, professionalism, and understanding of media and communications have been invaluable as we continue building the Iron Bulls brand.”

Serving alongside Robinson in organizational leadership is Vice President Holly Newcomb, who has become a critical part of the Iron Bulls operational growth and player recruitment efforts. Newcomb has been heavily involved in coordinating organizational logistics, recruiting initiatives, scheduling, and helping establish relationships throughout the region as the Iron Bulls continue preparing for their debut season.

Her dedication behind the scenes has helped the organization continue moving forward at a rapid pace while maintaining a strong focus on professionalism and organization.

Another major piece of the Iron Bulls ownership structure is Minority Owner Howard Goodman, whose leadership, strategic insight, and support have helped strengthen the organization’s long-term vision and business operations. Goodman has worked closely with team leadership on organizational development, growth planning, and creating a sustainable future for the Iron Bulls as the organization continues expanding its reach within the community and developmental football landscape.

The Iron Bulls Board of Directors has also played an essential role in shaping the direction and stability of the organization. Board members Dustin Taber, Justin Williams, and Arnie Goldberg continue contributing valuable experience, leadership, and support as the organization prepares for its inaugural campaign.

Together, the board has focused heavily on ensuring the Iron Bulls operate with professionalism, accountability, and community impact at the forefront of every organizational decision.

As preparations for the 2027 season continue, the Iron Bulls leadership group has remained focused on several major initiatives including:

  • Community outreach programs

  • Youth football development

  • Family host programs for out-of-state athletes

  • Corporate sponsorship growth

  • Game day staffing and operations

  • Stadium partnerships

  • Internship opportunities for local students

  • Player advancement and exposure opportunities

The organization has also emphasized its commitment to creating a safe, professional, and family-oriented game day environment while building strong partnerships throughout Mishawaka and the surrounding communities.

With professional operations continuing to expand, the Iron Bulls believe they are building far more than a football team, they are building a community-driven sports organization designed to positively impact the region for years to come.

“This is just the beginning,” Robinson said. “We’re building something special here. The support we’ve received from the community, businesses, fans, and everyone involved has been incredible. We are committed to doing things the right way and building an organization Mishawaka can truly be proud of.”

As the countdown toward kickoff continues, one thing is becoming increasingly clear: the Mishawaka Iron Bulls are not simply preparing for a football season, they are building a movement.
