Iron Bulls Sign International Standout Joshua Purdie

MISHawaka, IN — The Mishawaka Iron Bulls Football Club have officially added another major playmaker to their inaugural 2027 roster, announcing the signing of veteran international standout Joshua Purdie, a dynamic WR/DB with nearly a decade of professional football experience across Europe.

Purdie brings elite versatility, championship pedigree, and proven playmaking ability to the Iron Bulls after building an impressive professional career throughout the Czech Republic, Turkey, and Germany.

During his three seasons in the Czech Republic, Purdie established himself as one of the league’s premier two-way athletes, helping lead his organization to three consecutive championship appearances while earning league MVP honors for his dominant performances on both sides of the football. His ability to impact games as both a wide receiver and defensive back quickly made him one of the most respected international players in European football.

Purdie continued his professional career in Turkey, where he spent two seasons showcasing his athleticism, speed, and leadership while competing against high-level international talent. He later went on to spend five successful seasons in Germany, where he added another championship to his resume while once again earning MVP recognition for his elite level of play and consistency.

Known for his explosiveness, football IQ, physicality, and ability to create momentum-changing plays, Purdie gives the Iron Bulls another major weapon as the organization continues assembling one of the most talented rosters in Minor League Football.

“Joshua is exactly the type of professional athlete we want inside our organization,” said J.R. Robinson, President & CEO of the Mishawaka Iron Bulls. “He’s a proven winner, an MVP-caliber player, and someone who understands what it takes to compete at a high level. His international experience, leadership, and versatility immediately elevate our football team on both sides of the ball.”

The Iron Bulls coaching staff believes Purdie’s championship experience and veteran presence will play a major role in helping establish the culture and competitive standard the organization is building ahead of its inaugural season.

With his ability to dominate as both a receiver and defensive back, Purdie brings a rare level of flexibility to the Iron Bulls roster and further strengthens an already aggressive recruiting class focused on size, speed, athleticism, and professional experience.

As preparations continue for the 2027 season, the Mishawaka Iron Bulls remain committed to building a first-class professional football organization focused on player advancement, community impact, and championship expectations.
